“We want to give contractors V.I.P. treatment in a R.I.P. construction market by giving them one free, hilarious night in support of multiple good causes,” says Carmen, the former humorous “tool man” on the Discovery Channel’s Your New House television show. “Contractors have been hard hit and this is just a little way of bringing some laughter back into their lives”, agrees Rick Owens, General Manager of Volvo Rents in Tampa, Fort Myers, Pompano Beach and Port St. Lucie. Carmen has decided to do his stand-up for free for those affected by the sagging economy. The Players Theatre is donating the venue.
