Penta Protection

Volvo Penta of the Americas announces “Penta Protection,” a standard five year warranty and service protection program for customers of Volvo Penta Gas EFI Sterndrive Engines.

(CHESAPEAKE, VA) August 10 , 2009 – Volvo Penta announces its new Penta Protection program, an innovative program that combines the two year Volvo Penta factory limited warranty with an additional three years of coverage through First Protection Corporation (FPC).  Penta Protection is standard for all gasoline EFI sterndrive engines manufactured after July 1, 2009, and delivered in North America.

Penta Protection consists of two distinct parts: A 2 year Volvo Penta factory limited warranty and a 3 year Volvo Penta Extended Protection limited warranty that provides coverage for mechanical breakdowns that may occur following the expiration of the Volvo Penta limited factory warranty.  The Volvo Penta Extended Protection limited warranty is administered by FPC, with over 15 years of providing post-factory warranty coverage for Volvo Penta owners. After the second year of ownership, FPC administrators work directly with Volvo Penta servicing dealers to ensure that needed repairs are made timely and correctly to get the boat owner back on the water fast.
