At Volvo Group our aim is to unleash our peoples' full potential in the transformation of our industry and wider society. We see the future of the transport and infrastructure sectors as hard-wired to the potential that technology offers. This is why we work closely with gaming companies to make our products visible in simulations and other games across the globe.
"Beyond simulation, years of gaming in general have made me very comfortable with digital environments and advanced interfaces. It built strong computer skills, spatial awareness, and a natural ability to learn new tools quickly - skills that complement my mechanical engineering background and help me make the most of XR technologies in my daily work."

Just like researching the best build for a game run, I dive into new technologies and approaches to make sure our solutions are efficient and future-proof. What game do you play?
Piotr: "I've loved strategy games since childhood, starting with classics like Warcraft and The Settlers my cousin showed me. How does gaming help with your job?

Another lesson from gaming is that good concepts don't die but evolve with technology, which guides how I enhance proven ideas with modern capabilities. For example, my planning poker plugin for Backstage combines both insights – anticipating future needs while evolving a classic agile technique into a foundation for a modern, AI-assisted, and streamlined planning experience."

Piotr: "I love working with cutting-edge technology that requires constant strategic thinking and adaptation, while genuinely having fun doing it – it's like that "just one more turn" feeling from strategy games, but with real impact. At Volvo, we value both innovation and enjoyment, always learning to stay ahead while keeping the work exciting."
