You have a great opportunity to join the Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing organization as buyer in Europe for travel and translations segments.
Travel is a key and highly visible segment in the Volvo group as it touches all our employees.. You will havethe responsibility for Belgium and France for our contract with our travel management company as well as all mobility for shuttle for internal moves. Your ownership includes the contribution to global segment business plans, the follow of operational performance of our supplier, to drive continuous improvement actions and lead sourcings activities and cost reduction programs.
You will also be responsible for translation services in Europe (Belgium, France, Sweden) working on optimizing the supplier base, drive agreements including competitive clauses and quality performances plan, develop best practices and work on digital tool to drive efficiency for tomorrow

  • Contribute to the development of the segment strategy and purchasing process to support Volvo’s strategic objectives
  • Strengthening Volvo’s competitive advantage by understanding the business needs and the supplier market
  • Drive business synergies and share best practices within the Volvo Group
  • Manage and develop the supplier base, using categorization, segmentation, evaluation, etc. in order to establish the appropriate levels of relationship
  • Drive sourcing’s actions, negotiate contracts
  • Lead performance of our partner

A perfect match?

You have excellent communication, listening and negotiation skills in order to build trust+ The ability to take ownership of various tasks is necessary and problem solving skills combination with analytical mindset is a must. We also think that you are result oriented and has a strong business acumen. We can offer you a very dynamic, interesting and challenging job where you will be able to personally grow and develop

Other requirements:

  • Master of Science and/or Business Administration
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Dare taking initiative / autonomous
  • Team player / Open minded
  • International exposure / Occasional travel in Europe
  • 1 or 2 years purchasing experience is a plus
