Senior Project and Commodity Buyer for Entertainment Systems

We, Connectivity & Infotainment team, are looking for a Senior Project and Commodity Buyer for Entertainment Systems, located in Goteborg (Sweden).

Entertainment systems area is at the cutting edge of the technology, where the Volvo Group is investing heavily to provide best in class connected services to our customers. As a Senior Project and Commodity Buyer you will be in the center of the action. You will be responsible for driving the project and commodities activities within the Entertainment systems area. You will work closely with your colleagues in the project and commodity team to secure the future supplier base of the Volvo Group.
Some key responsibilities and activities will be to:
- Develop the Sourcing plan for components & systems according to cross-functional time plans.
- Manage Sourcing activities in project phase and drive the supplier selection process
- Negotiate and execute agreements with suppliers during production and after production, find extra cost savings on top of existing agreements
- Drive all relevant activities to deliver on QDCFTSR (*) targets during Project, Production and After Production phase
- Monitor, identify and mitigate risks in the Project and Production phase in cooperation with stakeholders
- Perform daily purchasing activities related to production orders, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers.
- Contribute to segment strategies & be an active member in the global network of commodity buyers.
- Work in close cooperation with all buyers on this scope
- Actively contribute to the team development, by bringing improvement ideas, support your peers, coaching buyers when relevant, sharing good cases and ask for support when needed.

Former experience in Electronics scopes, technical background and automotive experience are considered as assets
