HR Tool Designer

Our team ensures the smooth execution of the Volvo Group’s global compensation plans, and the tools we use to do that are designed and maintained by us. We strive to meet and exceed business requirements in updates to functionalities we build.
So what’s the role?
You will independently design, implement and maintain our custom-built HR solutions, and ensure a smooth user experience. You will hold unique responsibility for the tool and its technical improvements and you’ll draw on a wide-angle view of the HR process.

  • Identify and provide innovative solutions to requirements from end-users, whilst keeping it lean and efficient
  • Design and maintain access structures in the tool you are responsible for
  • Verify and coordinate internal testing on solutions you have created
  • Secure tool continuity with regard to technical risk management (back-up structures, stability testing, recovery)

And who are we looking for?
First of all, you’re someone who loves problem solving, and your dream state is when things work—and work well. This drives you to improve on the status quo, to search for the next improvement and to get creative. You’re good at identifying what needs to be done first and you can work to timeline. You also enjoy presenting improvements you’ve made, and you’re good at translating technical language into an easy-to-grasp concept. You’re comfortable operating in a global business environment with stakeholders from all around the world, and you communicate confidently in English.
From a technical point of view, you are comfortable with reading and writing in VBA, using and creating SQL queries, as well as table management on a sever-based database.
Any nice-to-haves?
Experience in an international company and/or within HR processes will be advantageous, as would experience with SAP HR.
