Sr. Project Manager- Powertrain Strategic Development

Within Group Trucks Technology / Powertrain Engineering, Strategic Development is a global department, which mission is to engineer new concepts in advance for the Volvo products of the next decade.
Position description
Based in Hagerstown, within the global Concept Creation group, you will have the opportunity to lead a major advanced engineering project, addressing major technology challenges for the Heavy-Duty Powertrain Product Range. You will work in close cooperation with your Powertrain and Vehicle Engineering global colleagues, external US laboratories, universities and public authorities, and a variety of internal global stakeholders.

Main responsibilities as PM:
  • Manage the global project team & report to reference group and steering committee
  • Report to public funding authorities
  • Take an active role in developing future ways of working, with an end user and customer mindset

You have good listening and negotiation skills.

  • Master of Science. in Engineering or related field
  • Deep experience of powertrain product development
  • 8 years of project management experience
  • Clear communication, verbally and in writing
  • Fluent in English, verbally and in writing
  • Authorized to work in the United States
