Suspension control system function owner

INTRODUCTION
Group BF71640, “Suspension Control System, Vehicle Dynamics Control System Simulation & TPMS” within Chassis Technology is responsible for the development of suspension control, TPMS and to verify vehicle dynamics control systems for all truck brands within Volvo Group Trucks Technology.
We are looking for a highly motivated engineer to strengthen our team in the Suspension Control System area.
THIS IS US, YOUR NEW COLLEAGUES
You will be a member of a highly skilled and multinational team that develop control systems in-house. The team works close together with all needed counterparts in our global arena.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
You will be responsible for analysis, specification and review of function requirements and function development. You will support aftermarket, production and meet end customers. You will also perform experimental tests in vehicles as well as tests in virtual and real environment.
WHO ARE YOU?
  • You have a M.Sc. degree in Mechatronics, Control engineering, Electronics or similar
  • Good knowledge in Physics, Mechatronics, Mechanical engineering, Control engineering, Vehicle dynamics, System modeling, Functional requirements and Electronics
  • Good understanding of system development of embedded real time systems
  • Good understanding of model based development
  • Analytical
  • Communication and presenting skills both in text and verbally
  • Sense of responsibility
  • Business and customer oriented
ARE WE THE PERFECT MATCH?
In addition, you are familiar with tools such as Simulink, Matlab, CANalyzer as well as rapid prototyping and systems development principles. Since we often face mechanical challenges, it would be beneficial that you like mechanical problem solving. Knowledge in Volvo Tools, ISO26262 and C-driving license are advantages.
As a person you are driven, innovative and you have a passion for problem solving. You are open-minded and outgoing. You enjoy team work but at the same time you are able to work independently and drive development on your own. You most likely have a genuine interest in the automotive industry.
