Technical Trainer – Eskilstuna Training Center

Would you like to work in different arenas and with different cultures: train experienced product specialists in a well-equipped classroom in Sweden one week and in the following week conduct a training for totally new service technicians in a quarry somewhere in Africa?

Volvo Construction Equipment, Sales Region EMEA (Europe – Middle East – Africa) are now looking for a new Technical Trainer based in Eskilstuna, Sweden to primarily deliver technical training to dealer service technicians in our region.

The sales region EMEA Channel Competence Development team is supporting our dealers with competence development in the areas of Aftersales technical training, Aftersales commercial training and Sales training. Our team consists of well experienced trainers and is based in the four training centers around the region. Our training deliveries take place in our well-equipped training centers and at dealer locations in Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Competence development is high on the agenda in Sales region EMEA and we have a well-established competence development structure supported by state of the art training material. Our coming big challenge is to reach out and support the local trainers at our dealers in an effective way. Our trainers will have an important role to develop and coach the dealer trainers in the coming future.

Role description:
  • Deliver technical trainings all over the region
  • Prepare for trainings and support the operation of the training center
  • Support and develop dealer trainers
  • Be in close contact the global training department and be a stakeholder in the delivery of training material.
Who are you?
In this position you will mainly deliver technical training dealers technical staff. To be successful in the role we think you:
  • Are a good communicator and presenter
  • Have experience from and interest in coaching and competence development
  • Have technical background of working with heavy equipment as operator, technician or engineer
  • Are fluent in English and Swedish
  • Have ability to extensively travel in our region (a least one trip per month)
