New order from Saudi Arabia for 1.700 engines

Volvo Penta has received an order for an additional 1,700 industrial engines from Saudi Arabia. The order is valued at slightly more than SEK 250 M.

The order strengthens Volvo Penta’s strong position on the Saudi Arabian market, which is one of Volvo Penta’s single largest markets for industrial engines. During the three past decades, Volvo Penta has delivered slightly more than 45,000 diesel engines to Saudi Arabia.

This recent order for 1,700 engines received by Volvo Penta is exclusively for 12-liter diesel engines manufactured at the Volvo Group’s engine plant in Skövde, Sweden. The order covers a two-year period and the first delivery will be made in June this year.

Volvo Penta’s engines are used in Saudi Arabia mainly for such industrial applications as irrigation and power supply.
