MQ selected Volvo Penta power for the full range of generating sets. Each unit is powered by a dependable four cycle, direct injection Volvo Penta industrial diesel engine that meets EPA and CARB emissions standards currently in force for mobile off highway equipment. The engines have an electronic governing system that maintains the electrical frequency and engine rpm within ½ %.
A host of options are offered, including standard weather protective or sound attenuated housings, sub-base fuel tanks, fuel/water separators, block heaters, digital control panels with communication capability and automatic transfer switches.
