Now running in Western Australia’s Mid West towns of Cue, Meekatharra, Sandstone, Wiluna and Yalgoo are a total of 24 power generation diesel engines in multiple parallel operations, supplied by Seapower Australia.

They comprise two groups of six 7-litre TAD720GE, one group of five 5-litre TAD520GE and one group of seven 16-litre TAD1631GE. These groups are actually five separate town site power stations located in the Midwest desert region of Western Australia.
All the engines are powerful and well balanced to produce smooth and vibration-free operation with low noise levels. The engines are synchronized together using electronic digital engine control.
Freemantle-based Seapower Australia is the Western Australian importer/distributor for Volvo Penta marine and industrial engines.
In Australia there are almost 100 dealers who sell and service the growing range of Volvo Penta industrial and power generation diesel engines. The engine range has expanded greatly to cover a variety of applications and Seapower Australia has kept a breast of industry developments and professional training to encompass this.
