Hybrid vehicles: Coca-Cola chooses Renault Trucks

Renault Trucks Belgium and Coca Cola are to jointly test one of the first hybrid trucks in Europe – the Renault Premium Distribution Hybrys Tech.

The vehicle will go into service in July 2009 and be used for delivering Coca-Cola in Belgium. Coca-Cola signed a letter of intent concerning the use of a first vehicle equipped with hybrid technology developed by Renault Trucks. This is an important step for Coca-Cola which is aiming to make this move a means of cutting its CO2 emissions and reducing fuel consumption.
