Volvo Penta TAD764VE engine, rated at 225 kW (306 hp) powers Sullair’s family of 600 cfm to 900 cfm range of portable air compressors. Darren Tasker, Industrial Business Director for Volvo Penta Region America, states: “We are extremely pleased to work with an air compressor manufacturer with the global reputation that Sullair has gained.  It shows great confidence in our engines and technology. We are fully committed to providing Sullair with products and services that support developing their business.”

Kyle Smith, Director of Marketing for Sullair, comments that “Volvo Penta’s approach to Tier 4 interim emissions has allowed Sullair to develop a Tier 4 interim compliant compressor without increasing the size of the machine. Sullair’s Volvo Penta powered range of air compressors has lower fuel consumption than many competitive compressors which translates to significantly lower operating costs for our customers. With the addition of the Volvo Penta engine, Sullair has an expanded portable air compressor product offering, giving our customers high quality choices in selecting the right product for their applications.”
