(FCA) is the function in Group Reporting Tax & Control (part of Group Finance) with responsibility to secure that financial performance is correctly reflected for Business Areas, Truck Divisions, Group Functions and legal entities. FCA is also a global service provider through Accounting Services with process efficient, standardized service deliveries supporting local finance. FCA employs 1400+ people in 50+ countries.

FCA BA RT (and EMD BU) consolidation is part of FCA South Europe with responsibility for the global financial performance reporting for both the Renault Trucks Business area and the new EMD Business Unit.

You, as financial Controller, will work under the responsibility of the FCA RT BA and EMD BU consolidation manager who signs off the financial results for both structures.

You are therefore responsible for securing the internal and external financial reporting and will work in close co-operation with other functions at AB Volvo as well as the Business Area and The Business control department.
This a key cross functional role for the financial reporting of the BA RT: it is a great opportunity to be involved in the full consolidation tasks of one of the major BA within Volvo Group.

You should be ready to perform all the needed checks, analysis and potential corrections follow up during the monthly closing period.

What will be your main tasks and responsibility:
  • Full responsibility of the monthly and weekly volume sales and order board reporting for RT BA: Be the owner of the RT BA full process for customer orders reporting (get data from the system, organize, post, check, communicate, improve)
  • Provide monthly recurring reports and analysis (i.e. units sold, order intake, sales, issue log…)
  • Secure the accurate reporting of the newly created e-mob organisation within RT BA
  • Check company control and consolidation postings on some operating items for profit & loss, Balance sheet, and Cash flow
  • Work in close co-operation with the Business Area Business control teams, other FCA communities (chief accountants, R2R, internal control) and with consolidation teams in order to secure the quality of the financial reporting process
  • contribute in developing the Financial Reporting process for the BA with focus on the financial reports accuracy
    • work in collaboration with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) teams in India in order to develop automated and faster solutions during the closing process
    • work with constant improvements with FCA colleagues in India and Poland in order to increase the efficiency of the financial reporting
  • Provide support and analysis to the BA Business Control team and to the FCA BART and EMD BU manager
  • Have the responsibility for the BA master data updates for the BA RT
  • Be supportive and able to train people to the consolidation tools VGCS and essbase

Technical/functional/language skills and competences:
  • As we are a global team and all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required.
  • Extensive user knowledge in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in VGCS / Essbase / VGMFBW / Master Finance applications is a plus
  • Experience from Accounting and/or Business Control
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Be proactive and have high integrity as well as being able to work independently.
  • Enjoy working in teams and have good communication skills for cross functional work
  • Have an open attitude to work in a changing environment and contribute to a positive atmosphere
  • Knowledge in IFRS/FPP
