Capital Market Day

The Capital Markets Day was held March 5th, 2015 at the Volvo Group’s truck plant in Ghent, Belgium.

The Ghent truck plant is the world’s first C02-neutral truck plant and is currently being transformed into the Volvo Group’s high-volume plant for the Volvo brand in Europe featuring the latest in Volvo Production System (VPS) including the fishbone assembly concept for increased productivity. The Ghent plant produces Volvo FH, Volvo FM and Volvo FMX trucks, and has a technical capacity of 35.000 heavy-duty trucks per year in two shifts.  Ghent is also home to the Volvo Group’s largest spare parts distribution center for trucks, buses, construction equipment and marine & industrial engines, with over 200,000 part numbers in the warehouse.

The Capital Markets Day consisted of a comprehensive walk through the world’s first C02-neutral truck plant, following the tour, presentations was given by Olof Persson, President and CEO, and other members of the Volvo Group executive team.
