Volvo Penta donates engines to disaster area

At a ceremony during this week at Volvo Penta’s plant in Wuxi, China, Volvo Penta donated a total of ten diesel engines to the disaster area in Southeast Asia.
The donation, which was made jointly with eight manufacturers of generator sets, comprises ten complete gensets powered by Volvo Penta’s diesel engines.

The need for electrical power in the disaster area remains substantial. The gensets will be used to produce electricity for field hospitals, construction sites and water pumps.

The donations were made to the Red Cross in Thailand and Indonesia.
