Volvo Trucks is focusing firmly on establishing a strong position in Asia, not least by boosting its already widespread service organisation.
Alongside the new Volvo Trucks head office in Korea, the Volvo Truck Center in Hwaseong Dongtan will offer customers both service and maintenance as well as training courses for students. Volvo Truck Korea recently entered into cooperation with Kookje College in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi province, where as part of its new training operations the company gives students the opportunity to learn from Volvo Trucks’ advanced technology and maintenance techniques through practical exercises.
“Volvo Trucks already meets the country’s high demands concerning technology with regard to maintenance of heavy trucks,” says Joakim Hjerpe, President of Volvo Trucks Area Asia. “The newly built training centre will be an important hub for technical training and will serve as a benchmark for the company’s continued expansion.”
