100 Renault Premium Distribution for Coca-Cola Belgium

Renault Trucks has handed over the keys of the first nine Renault Premium Distribution 410 26 T 6x2s to Rudy Goossens, Division Transport Manager at Coca-Cola Enterprises Belgium.

In all, 98 more Renault Premiums meeting the Euro V standard will fill out the Belgian Coca-Cola fleet in the next two years
All of them are to be equipped with the Optidriver+ automatic gear box Optibrake engine brake and a blind angle camera, as well as a weighing mechanism to avoid overload.

Coca-Cola is using Renault Trucks for the first time for their automotive fleet.  For Rudy Goossens, Division Transport Manager at Coca-Cola Enterprises Belgium, “Renault Trucks presented the best results in terms of three key aspects: price, service level agreements and environmental quality. The fact that Renault Trucks have service outlets not far from each of our distribution centres was a key element for the availability of our fleet (230 vehicles, of which 90 Renault Trucks over the next three years). Maintenance plays a crucial role to guarantee the continuity of our fleet.  Our choice was also guided by the improvements to environmental standards on the vehicles selected, which meet Euro V requirements on emissions which take effect on October 1, 2009. On average we are looking at CO2 emissions savings of almost 5% compared to our existing fleet.”

For Luc Vleugels, Key Account Manager at Renault Trucks Belgium: « in these times, it is a great operation to sign up a long-term agreement with a global player such as Coca-Cola. Given the company’s demanding criteria as they expand their fleet or replace certain vehicles, we see this as an testimonial to Renault Trucks’ service quality.
