“New York Festivals” is one of the world’s oldest and most renowned film festivals, and with several hundreds contenders from over 30 countries it is also one of the largest. Volvo Trucks has won several film awards over the years, but now clinched both Gold and Best Film for the first time in New York.

“Our most recent corporate presentation film, “The Balance”, is one of the most attention-grabbing productions in our history. It shows our company, the benefits to society from our products, and the values that we represent, and getting Gold and Best Film at a festival of such renowned status is naturally a great honour,” comments Magnus Koeck, Director of Brand Management at Volvo Trucks. “The Balance” received Gold in the category “Industrial Production; Public Relations”.

The film “Engineered to Wear” which shows Volvo Trucks’ most recent Merchandise concept (FH16) was awarded “Finalist Certificate” in the “Industrial Production; Sales” category at the same film festival.

“We are currently focusing on our Merchandise business and it is fantastic that our concept is receiving so much acclaim in a renowned context as the “New York Festivals”. It strengthens our brand,” comments Åsa Rönström, Merchandise Manager at Volvo Trucks.

“The Balance” has been translated into 19 languages.
