Pramac has an established collaboration with Formula 1 and previously provided equivalent services for a Formula 1 race in Singapore.

The Abu Dhabi race was the final race of the season and it was finished in evening light. Pramac installed a total of 44 diesel generator sets around the race track. Of these, 32 were powered by 9-liter engines and 12 were powered by 16-liter engines, all supplied by Volvo Penta.

A total of 12,500 kW was generated by the gensets, each one of them equipped with a special sand filter to be able to supply power for lighting around the 5.5-kilometer race track.

The winner of the race was Sebastian Vettel from Germany.
