The web shop makes it easy to purchase spare parts and accessories for Volvo Penta’s marine and industrial engines. Some 60,000 parts and accessories are available through the web shop.
The intention is that the web shop will increase availability for customers through intelligent software and access to Volvo Penta’s databases and spare parts system.
The web shop contains exploded diagrams of engines and components that make it easy to find the parts that the customer is looking for. It is also possible to perform searches by engine family, engine type or part number. Such searchability is a great advantage for owners of Volvo Penta products.
“Purchasing via the web shop is easy for customers: they choose products, put them in the shopping cart, register as a customer and pay securely with a credit card. Thereafter, they can choose to either collect the items at the nearest dealer or have them delivered to their home address,” says Håkan Wallin, head of Volvo Penta part sales in Europe and project manager for volvopentashop.com.
The web shop is directly linked to Volvo Penta’s dealer network in Europe. This new service will initially be offered to five selected Volvo Penta Centers. In the near future, all 105 Volvo Penta Centers in Europe will be linked to the web shop.
“The web shop will be a complement to ordinary operations for our Volvo Penta Centers by increasing their sales and enhancing their profitability,” concludes Håkan Wallin.
