Clint Moore to retire from Volvo Penta

Clint Moore has decided to retire as president of Volvo Penta of the Americas after more than 15 years of service. Clint Moore, will retire on September 1, 2012.

June 5, 2012 (Chesapeake, VA) - Clint Moore, 65, has more than 35 years of experience in the marine industry ranging from propulsion to boat building to retail sales and has been with Volvo Penta since 1996.

 

“Although I love being head of VPA, the time had come for me to focus on other areas and opportunities. I am proud of the team I’ve built and leave behind – they are strong, passionate leaders.  I am also especially pleased with the strong, productive relationships the team has developed with our customers and partners.  I leave knowing that our company is a great industry leader with a bright future,” said Clint Moore.

 

The recruitment process to find Clint Moore´s successor as head of Volvo Penta of the Americas has already been initiated and is expected to be finalized during the third quarter.

In addition, Volvo Penta has decided to merge its North American, Latin American and South American operations into the newly formed Region America with sales and aftermarket responsibility. This change is effective beginning September 1, 2012 and is being made to harmonize Volvo Penta’s structure with a major reorganization last year of the Volvo Group´s global structure.

 

Clint Moore´s successor will take on responsibility for this newly consolidated region as well as segment responsibility for Volvo Penta´s marine gasoline engines.
