What does your job involve?
I am mainly responsible for UX Product Design, working on features for Volvo Trucks. I guide and inspire the UX team to deliver Volvo design solutions that bring value to our customers and users.

What is the most rewarding aspect of what you do?
With such a wide range of products, not to mention a huge variety of users, it is safe to say the work never gets boring. What I like most about my job is the opportunity to really make an impact on our products, to optimize the outcome through our way of working.

What makes working here a good fit for you?
Since joining Volvo Group, I have felt like I am exactly where I want to be. As a designer, I find my work fulfilling and exciting and I have great colleagues with whom I really enjoy working.

Do you work as part of a team?
Collaboration is key here, both within the design department (Interior, Exterior, UX, Color &Trim and so on), and interdepartmentally. We work cross functionally – designers sit next to the coders, specification and test people. We all work together, helping to shape the project from start to finish.

What are the challenges?
Every new project is a challenge, because we are constantly trying to make the features cleaner, simpler and better for the user. Our goal is to deliver clarity and purposeful products and services.

How would you describe the working environment?
I feel privileged to work for a company that values diversity. I work in a multicultural environment, with people from every corner of the globe. I genuinely believe our diversity adds to our creative and innovative power.

What does the future hold?
These are exciting times in the automotive industry, with the rise of connectivity, electromobility and autonomous driving. As UX designers, we get to work on some of the most ground-breaking technologies, from strategic areas as autonomous manoeuvring and logistics, to driving experience handling safety and navigation features, communication and even entertainment.
