Complete Vehicle is a global function within GTT with employees in the areas of Product design (PD), Product builds of prototypes (PB), Features Verification & Validation (FVV) Quality & Customer Satisfaction (Q&CS) and Aftermarket technology (AMT).
CV France function is responsible for FVV and PB areas and we are on an exciting change journey with focus on quality, truck performance and maximizing the output through cadence in testing activities.

We are now looking for a Manager to lead the Project Builds team in Lyon.

In this position, you will lead and manage an engaged team of specialists responsible for the delivery of all test rigs, mock-ups, mules and prototypes for all GTT, MDBU powertrain and vehicle projects.
Project Build is therefore responsible and accountable for the associated build plan and budgets (material and man hours). We also work closely with manufacturing (GTO) and purchasing (GTP) to assemble prototypes in the Volvo Group's factories.
Project Builds is part of Product Builds which supplies all Volvo BA with all prototype vehicles and components required for testing.

Key responsibility
  • As manager of the Project Builds Team, you are responsible of the suitable delivery of our test object ensuring the quality, price, and delivery precision.
  • You are responsible for lead time control and improvement.
  • You will have to develop your team and lead the change to the new way of working.
  • You will be responsible for setting your own targets in line with the CV strategy in terms of product, people, and process.
  • You will maintain a good team spirit with a cooperative atmosphere and proudness to deliver
  • You maintain and develop good cooperation with essential internal stakeholders like product development, EMDBU, and PB internally, with the procurement team and the logistics platform.

Qualifications and skills:
  • MSc. or BSC. degree in Engineering
  • Management experience requested, with a strong focus on people development
  • Excellent in team development and interest in how each person can contribute to the team.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience from product development
  • Customer oriented
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Good communication skill
  • Culture of results
  • Experience in agile deployment is a plus.
