The software team within the Project Management group is continuously improving and supporting applications for Testing, Verification and Materials Technology (VT&MT) at Group Trucks Technology (GTT).

VT&MT is responsible for the operation, maintenance and development of test and materials technology laboratories. We work both local and global to deliver high-quality results and expert functions within our areas of responsibility.

VT&MT is a part of Powertrain Engineering, Group Trucks Technology (GTT) located in Gothenburg. We have a legacy of innovation. Innovations that we do today will reshape the transportation industry of tomorrow.

About the role

As a Software Developer in Project Management Group, you are responsible for reduced maintenance and increased availability for core activities for introducing new technology within laboratory software. You will analyze and understand incoming needs from internal customers, as well as needs and design requirements specifications for external suppliers.

You are expected to engage in creating sustainable solutions, investigations, and improvements for our software, developing applications that ease, speed-up and quality assure the users work. In this role, you will bring expertise in Database Oracle/SQL, C#, .NET, Python, Azure as well as coaching and support with guidance in software engineering.

Together with colleagues, you will develop and maintain different in-house developed applications and implement new laws and regulations. By using Agile principles, you will be involved in activities to efficiently handle new functions, calculations & parameters, bug-fixing, documentation, educate and supports users.

Requirements:

  • University degree in software development or equivalent education.
  • Several years’ experience in software development and system development.
  • Knowledge and experience in testing and verification.
  • Experience in .NET, SQL, and Database Oracle.
  • Experienced in agile ways of working.
  • English proficiency, both written and spoken. Swedish is a merit.


We highly value the experience and knowledge of cloud-based development, like Python, Azure, and Git.
