Volvo Group launches Supplier Code of Conduct

We believe that it is a joint responsibility together with our suppliers to develop, produce and deliver products and services in a responsible and sustainable manner

Volvo Group launches Supplier Code of Conduct

Our suppliers play an integral part in our mission to drive prosperity through transport solutions, and we expect all of our Suppliers to support us on this sustainability journey.

In our vision to become the most desired and successful transport solution provider in the world and to provide truly sustainable transport solutions, Volvo Group is now taking the next steps towards embedding the care for people, planet and profit into all our supply chains, by introducing Supplier Code of Conduct. It is outlining both the Volvo Group’s minimum requirements and aspirations for all Volvo Group suppliers in the areas of:

  • Human rights and Working conditions
  • Health and safety
  • Responsible sourcing of Raw materials
  • Environmental performance
  • Business ethics

This Supplier Code of Conduct will replace previous standards referred to as Key Element Procedures 5 and 6. Moving forward, Volvo Group will only have one guiding document – the Volvo Group Supplier Code of Conduct. We require all our suppliers delivering goods and/or services to any entity in the Volvo Group to adhere to the requirements as outlined in the Supplier Code of Conduct and to make significant efforts to comply with the aspirations.
