For the second year in a row, Volvo Trucks is the market leader in Europe for heavy-duty trucks. In 2025, the company had an overall market share in Europe of 19.0%. To support the ambitious growth plan in North America, major investments are made in new products and increased production capacity.

Volvo Trucks North America announced that three zero-tailpipe-emission Volvo VNR Electric trucks will be delivered in 2026 to City Harvest, New York City’s largest food rescue organization, as part of the Bronx is Breathing project. Supported by a $10 million award from the New York Clean Transportation Prizes program, the initiative is designed to reduce noise and emissions for South Bronx neighborhoods bordering one of the nation’s busiest freight corridors.

Volvo Trucks North America has secured an order for 80 Volvo VNLs – the company’s flagship long-haul model - from HayWay Logistics, marking their first deployment of trucks in the United States and a significant milestone in HayWay Group’s global expansion. Looking ahead, HayWay Group plans to expand its fleet to 1,400 vehicles by 2029 in cooperation with Volvo Trucks and Volvo Financial Services, positioning the company as a growing logistics player in the U.S. market.

GREENSBORO, NC (Jan. 16, 2026) –Mack Trucks today announced that a diverse lineup of vocational vehicles will be featured in Mack Booth No. C5108 Jan. 20-22 at World of Concrete 2026 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. A Mack® Granite® concrete mixer, Mack Granite volumetric mixer, Mack MD inline pumper and a Mack TerraPro® concrete pumper will be showcased, demonstrating Mack’s comprehensive vocational offerings ranging from medium duty to heavy-duty Class 8 meeting the diverse needs of concrete industry customers.

ALLENTOWN, PA (Jan. 15, 2026) – Mack Trucks recently named Guillaume Giroudon vice president and general manager at Lehigh Valley Operations (LVO) in Macungie, Pennsylvania, where all Class 8 Mack vehicles are assembled. Giroudon replaces Gunnar Brunius, who is now head of digital manufacturing for Volvo Group.

Production Begins on Next-Generation, Completely Redesigned Truck Designed for Regional Haul Applications

Volvo Trucks North America has delivered 125 all-new Volvo VNL 860 trucks to Highlight Motor Group, marking the largest order of the next-generation VNL in Canada to date. The trucks are now in service supporting Highlight’s long-haul operations across Canada and the United States. The investment underscores the fleet’s focus on safety, driver comfort, and sustainability.

Volvo Trucks North America has named Christopher Roberts as Regional Vice President - Southeast, effective January 12, 2026. In this role, Roberts will lead sales operations across the Southeast region of the United States and report directly to Peter Voorhoeve, president, Volvo Trucks North America.

Just in time for the holidays, Volvo Trucks North America and the Center for Pet Safety brought a little extra joy and a lot of wagging tails as the organizations completed a first-of-its-kind “pet test” of Volvo’s new long-haul truck, the new Volvo VNL. The test highlighted safety for the approximately 800,000 pets in the US who travel with their owners in commercial trucks every day. The result? The Volvo VNL passed the test!

The Volvo Group announced today that it will invest $37.7 million to open a new 115,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Regional Distribution Center (RDC) in Tacoma, Washington, to better support its Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks, Volvo Penta and Volvo Construction Equipment dealers in North America. The facility will employ about 20 people and is key to optimizing parts delivery and expanding coverage to dealers in the Northwest United States and Western Canada.

Virginia-Based Carrier Expands Fleet with Latest Highway Truck Model, Strengthening Relationship with Mack Trucks

Volvo Trucks North America has secured a 185-unit order for its new long-haul truck, the Volvo VNL 860 trucks, from Koch Trucking. The family-owned, full-service transportation provider, headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, will integrate the new VNLs into their fleet of late-model tractors that operate across North America.

Personalized Virtual Tours Now Available for Mack's Latest Versatile Truck Model

GREENSBORO, NC (Nov. 24, 2025) –Mack Trucks today announced that Wayne Smith Farms and Cooley Transport/Maloney Leasing have taken delivery of the first all-new Mack Pioneer™ trucks in the United States through Mack dealer Tri-State Truck Centers. Wayne Smith Farms purchased six 76-inch sleeper models from Tri-State’s North Little Rock, Arkansas, location, while Cooley Transport acquired four 76-inch sleepers from the Tupelo, Mississippi, location, with four additional units on order. The deliveries mark a significant milestone as the all-new Pioneer, Mack’s most aerodynamic and driver-focused highway truck to date, begins reaching American customers.
