Did you know that more than 60% of all truck drivers are pet owners and nearly 40% bring their pets on the road?1 Now, Volvo Trucks North America is partnering with the Center for Pet Safety to promote safer, more comfortable travel for commercial drivers and their four-legged companions.

Volvo Trucks North America continues to lead the transition to electromobility, with more than 700 Volvo VNR Electric trucks now operating across the United States and Canada. Together, these vehicles have logged more than 20 million zero-tailpipe-emission miles, eliminating an estimated 34,000 metric tons of CO₂—the equivalent of taking more than 7,000 passenger cars off the road for a full year.

Volvo Trucks North America announced its continued sponsorship of the American Trucking Associations’ America’s Road Team for 2026, marking the company’s 24th consecutive year as this prestigious program’s exclusive sponsor. The announcement was made during the ATA Management Conference & Exhibition, held in San Diego, California, reflecting Volvo Trucks’ shared commitment with the America’s Road Team to advancing highway safety, elevating the image of the trucking industry, and inspiring future generations of professional drivers.

The delivery marks a significant milestone as the all-new Pioneer, Mack’s most aerodynamic and driver-focused highway truck to-date, begins reaching Canadian customers.

Volvo Group subsidiary Volvo Trucks North America today presented an all-new Volvo VNL 860 to Virginia’s American Revolution 250 Commission (VA250), the Commonwealth of Virginia's official body to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, the Revolutionary War, and U.S. independence. Volvo Trucks is loaning the fully equipped truck to tow the Commission’s mobile museum “Out of Many, One,” a traveling immersive exhibit highlighting Virginia’s central role in the American Revolution through interactive storytelling, education, and community engagement.

Volvo Trucks North America announced that integrated side curtain airbags will now be standard equipment on new Volvo truck models built for the North American market. This marks another industry first for Volvo Trucks. Volvo Trucks introduced the driver front airbag in 1996 with the launch of the VN model and made it standard equipment going forward.

Volvo Trucks North America officially opened orders for the all-new Volvo VNR, a Class 8 truck designed for regional and urban haul. The new VNR delivers greater fuel efficiency, safety and connectivity. The truck is now available for order at Volvo Trucks dealerships across the U.S. and Canada, with production on track to begin in February 2026 at the New River Valley Plant in Virginia.

Volvo Trucks has reached a major milestone: more than one million trucks worldwide are now digitally connected, helping fleets and drivers work smarter and safer on the road. In North America alone, more than 218,000 connected trucks are deployed in customer operations, representing one in five of all Volvo trucks on the continent.

Mack Trucks' Remanufacturing Division Marks Golden Anniversary While Supporting Environmental Sustainability and Circular Economy

As a leading force in the development of sustainable transportation solutions, Volvo Group this year is celebrating 80 years of remanufacturing components for its on-road, off-road and marine applications. The remanufacturing program, which launched in 1945 in Köping, Sweden, is supported in North America today by operations in Middletown, Pennsylvania and Charlotte, North Carolina.
