Volvo IT comes out on top when IT students at Swedish universities and colleges name their preferred employers. This is according to FöretagsBarometern, which is a survey conducted by the research and consulting firm, Universum Communications.

FöretagsBarometern is an annual graduate survey and Volvo IT is one of about 120 enterprises included in this year’s survey.

Volvo IT expects to recruit 200 people this year, mostly in Sweden. Most positions require primarily experienced IT professionals, but new graduates will also be hired.

“We are trying to establish long-term, constant student contacts all over Sweden. I believe many are attracted to us because we are a stable IT company that works with exciting international projects in close collaboration with our customers,” says Ann Elmeland-Ygge, Human Resource Director at Volvo IT.

Volvo IT is a wholly-owned subsidiary of AB Volvo and provides IT solutions and services to AB Volvo, Ford-owned Volvo Car Corporation and other industrial companies. Volvo IT employs about 3,100 people in Sweden, the majority of whom work in Göteborg.
