Truck deliveries January-November 2005

Total deliveries of trucks from the Volvo Group’s three truck companies increased 13% through November this year, compared with the year-earlier period.

Deliveries from Mack rose 46%, while deliveries from Renault Trucks were up 6%. Deliveries from Volvo Trucks increased 9% during the period.

Mack
Deliveries from Mack through November totaled 33,384 units, up 46% from the same period a year ago. The deliveries figures continue to reflect the strong gains in order intake seen through much of the first three quarters of this year as compared to 2004.

Renault Trucks
Deliveries through November totaled 66,532 trucks, a rise of 6% compared with the year-earlier period. Deliveries in Europe rose by 2%, including France, where 3% more trucks were delivered. Deliveries outside Europe amounted to 11,876, a gain of 23%.
In the heavy duty ranges, Renault Kerax increased 24% and Renault Premium 11%.

Volvo Trucks
Volvo Trucks’ deliveries during the period January-November amounted to 94,693 vehicles, an increase of 9% compared with the year-earlier period. The number of trucks delivered in Europe was on a par with the same period last year. In France and Britain, deliveries increased by 12 and 4% respectively.
On the North American market, the demand for heavy trucks continued to remain strong, with 29,620 trucks delivered during this period, corresponding to an increase of 26%.
In South America, deliveries rose by 6%, totalling 7,265 trucks.
