The National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) conducts a survey each year to measure customer satisfaction within the marine industry. More than 50,000 consumers purchasing a new boat and engine in the US between July 2004 and June 2005 are included in the study.
The information from these consumers is aggregated in a customer satisfaction index and the best companies in each class are recognized with a NMMA award for excellent customer satisfaction.
This year Volvo Penta received this CSI award in the class for sterndrive engines for the second consecutive year.
“We have worked hard in recent years to advance our positions with regard to customer satisfaction and the fact that we are now receiving this award for the second year demonstrates that this work yields results,” says Clint Moore, president of Volvo Penta of the Americas.
